We are pleased to announce that the 3rd Annual Conference on Metagenomics and Metadesign of the Subways and Urban Biomes (MetaSUB), hosted in conjunction with The Wenner-Gren Institute, Stockholm University, will be held on July 18-20, 2017, in Stockholm, Sweden at the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (www.iva.se).

This year, a registration fee will be required at the time of acceptance to offset the costs of the Conference and the planned activities. The per person registration fee is $200. The conference fee includes, in addition to access to all conference related activities and workshops, lunches on all conference days, a gala dinner at the world-famous Vasa museum, and a dinner cruise in the stunning Stockholm archipelago. To register, please click here.

We expect the Stockholm meeting to be larger than our first or second MetaSUB Conferences held in New York City and Shanghai, China, respectively, due to our collaboration with the 16th Annual International Conference on Critical Assessment of Massive Data Analysis on July 22-23, 2017 in Prague, Czech Republic. The MetaSUB Conference will convene established research scientists and students to share an assortment of computational methods and tools to analyze the sequenced data from additional pilot studies and our first Global City Sampling Day (CSD).

This year, we gratefully acknowledge support from the Stockholm City Council (SLL), Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Jeff Zhu and the Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC), the Irma T. Hirschl and Monique Weill-Caulier Charitable Trusts, the WorldQuant Foundation, the Bert L and N Kuggie Vallee Foundation, and support from the National Institutes of Health (F31GM111053 and R25EB020393).

We look forward to seeing you in Stockholm in July 2017.

With best regards,
